The entire piece is made in the form of an old English rose with rose flower, rose leaves and a new rosebud on stem forming the handle and candle holder. All very lifelike. This is an extremely high quality piece as you would expect from Nathaniel Mills with exquisite craftsmanship asshown down to the smallest detail.
Unfortunately the date marks are rubbed so I cannot accurately date this piece beyond 18??
The hanging snuffer is part of a different set, is unmarked so could be any metal and just comes for completeness, the candlestick is the main piece here.
