Offered is an individual statue issued as part of a set called The Presidential Bronzes -- 38 solid bronze busts / statues of the Presidents of the United States of America, from the Franklin Mint. Issued in 1977, the set goes from George Washington to Jimmy Carter.
Note: As of this listing, I still have the complete set. I am selling the statues individually though. If there is another president that you are interested in, just let me know.
Each bust is approximately 3 inches tall and weighs about 1 pound.
There is a certificate of authenticity from the Franklin Mint. (Note: because I am selling the statues individually, the certificate of authenticity cannot be included with the item.)
18. Ulysses S. Grant (March 4, 1869—March 4, 1877). Republican. The eighteenth president of the U.S. was an army general during the American Civil War. The Union Army was able to defeat the Confederate effort when Grant was appointed lieutenant general. As President, Grant supported civil rights for freed slaves and contributed to the revival of the Republican party in the South. He also fought KKK violence. However, despite all this, his administration tolerated corruption and bribery. He was very unpopular when he left office.
