Up for sale an Art Nouveau chrysanthemum Turkish type 4 piece coffee set by Unger Bros consisting of a hexagonal tray, a coffee pot, an open sugar and a creamer. The set dates to c.1900-1910 period. Unger Bros was located in Newark, NJ from 1872-1914 and were known for their Art Nouveau designs. The overall design of the coffee set is very sculptural and plastic in how the chrysanthemum flowers are treated. Each piece is marked on the reverse with the Unger mark and the pattern number of the piece. All pieces are monogrammed with a cursive S. The entire set weighs 23 ounces (not troy ounces). The coffeepot measures 8.5\" x 7\", the tray measures 9.5\" x 10\", the sugar measures 2.5\" x 4.75\" and the creamer measures 3\" x 3.75\". The set is overall good condition; the top of the coffeepot handle has become detached from the body of the pot. It could be easily fixed by a silversmith. (I can recommend one.) There are some spots of tarnish on the tray and a ghost mark on the tray as well.
