For sale today is this:

four piece sterling silver coffee and tea set from the Unger Brothers. They were well known for their art nouveau silver work which they produced in Newark, New Jersey from 1872-1914. Both the coffee and tea pots have a domed lid, and bulbous lower body with ivory or bone heat stops to their handle. The matching creamer and sugar with removable lid are all decorated with deep relief images of roses and leaves, and each piece is engraved with scrolling initials on one side. Size of each piece is as follows the largest pot is 7 1/2\" tall x 8 1/2\" wide x 4 3/4\" deep with a total weight of 423 grams, next the smaller pot is 5 1/2\" tall x 8 1/2\" wide x 4 1/2\" deep with a total weight of 345 grams, the lidded sugar is 5\" tall x 6 1/2\" wide x 3 3/4\" deep with a total weight of 240 grams, and last the creamer is 4 1/2\" tall x 5\" wide x 3 1/2\"deep with a total weight of 176 grams. The total weight of the set is just over 38 troy ounces, each piece is marked \"Sterling 925 Fine\" with the \"UB\" of Unger Bros. in the center of the mark. As to condition there is light tarnish with some spots, the ivory or bone insulators have crazing and discoloration. Also the finialon the large coffee pot is bent. This set came from a family on the east coast before it was brought out here to Oregon several years ago.
