Thisshell iscoated with several coats of a UV protective clear cote. Each of my works is never exactly duplicated. Each is very unique.All are hand drawn without the use of templates or patterns. I do, at times, use a tape measure to create an even pattern.

My personal pysanky history: I had the privilegeseveral years ago of taking a class on pysanky with my children at an arts festival. The class was taught by an elderly, Ukrainian woman whose family chose not to learn the art. In an effort to pass the art along, she taught classes in hopes that others would pick it up. At the time, I had no idea that pysanky was a tradition that would have been in my own family background, yet was not carried through the generations. We learned this through studying our own family\'s genealogy. In spite of the fact that it has not been in my family for generations, I have been blessed with the ability to pick it up quickly. The art brings me great joy and peace as I learn to incorporate traditional designs into my original patterns.
