This cabinet is not the usual open display or closed armoire found in antique stores but a unique hybrid, it measures 6ft high by 4ft wide by 18 inch deep.
The door has a carved wood decoration on the glass and below it is a rococo lighter wood inlay. The side panels are matched wood grain and below the door is a big solid drawer also in matched wood grain with little carved wood curtains and on the sides are two more small compartments with doors. The hardware is bronze. The bottom is formed by four carved ball feet with little carved wood curtains and connected by a curved and carved spindle trellis. Inside are two sinuously carved solid wood shelves, the cabinet is surprisingly roomy. The two copper pots on top are Dutch and also antique and could go with it if desired.
The cabinet has no damage but through the yearssome varnish has worn off on the ridges and old wax has collected in the nooks and crevasses. It could be professionally cleaned and partially re-varnished or leave rustic as is.
Thisbeautiful cabinet could bring over$2000 when the antiquemarket recovers, a great investment! I am now 80+ and must downsize so it is offered as a steal at only $ 830! You will not find another like it in thiscountry!
