This is a unique hand painted icon of the Saint Nicolas painted on wood and gilt with gold leaf 22 karats.
It depicts the Saint Vladimir the Great, the first Christian king of the Russians.
The icon is painted in the workshop of byzantine iconography \'\'METEORITIKON\'\' in Meteora, Central Greece and it has certificate of authenticity signed and sealed by the iconographer.It has been painted according to the rules of the orthodox iconographywith the technique of egg-tempera using mineral pigments such as lapis lazuli ecc. mixed up with egg yolk and vinegar.Very fine work , high quality icon painted as the old traditional byzantine icons.
