This sale is for a very intriguing item from SMITHS, a highlyregarded British watch maker who have a fascinating back catalogue of high endboutique pieces such as the Everest, and a whole raft of iconic cartoon pocketwatches. Hence this item is so interesting and rare – as far as we know thismay well be a one off as we have never seen another in 20 years and can find noprovenance of another. It is in working order (on occasion one has to give it ashake to start but it will then run until its winding cycle is finished) butthe stop watch sweep hand does not reset at 12 – this is a straight forwardenough fix for the right person but please bear it in mind when offerding – no returnsplease folks. It comes on a nice chain in good condition.

The Dial – shows an ORANGE Masonic Square and Compass and has the classic Gin the middle. Immediately below this it says SMITHS and then MADE IN ENGLANDat the bottom.

The topshows a MINUTES sub dial and the outer chapter shows the seconds in incrementsof 3 through to 30.

The Case – Chrome plated.

The movement is currently working but would benefit from a service as onoccasion it takes a wee shake to get it going – therefore this is sold for serviceand only on these terms - Please bearthis in mind when offerding – as a restoration item, returns are not accepted.
