I recently listed this silver tray as an sale (sale #161705288819). The tray finished at $302.77. After the sale I was contacted by the buyer (highest buyer) who was very concerned about some of the tarnish on the tray, he asked me if I could clean the tray. I then told the buyer that I did not think it would be fair for me to clean the piece, as other buyers would not be able to see it without the tarnish..The buyer understood and was willing to work with me...

I have now cleaned the tray and as I predicted the tarnish spots that were of concern, are now gone.

Interestingly, I was telling the story of what happened to the wealthy statesman who originally owned the piece. He told me that he was surprised it did not go higher as it was actually a relic that was directly from the palace of Saddam Hussein...

So now we have some new information and a clean tray. I am listing this as a buy it now for $500 with a best offer option...

The Silver tray was acquired from the Estate of a Wealthy Statesmen who had traveled the world and toured 88 Countries..

From what I could understand this tray was acquired in Iraq and may have been acquired during the time of the Saddam Hussein departure from power..

Measures approximately 8\" by 6\" and weighs approximately 9.3 Troy OZs

Good Condition As Shown..I did not clean as to leave the original Patina and cleaning decisions to the collector..
