Unusual Antique American folk art carving depicting a prize fighter ca 1900. The carving was found in the basement of a farmhouse in York County PA. It shows the fighter with no shirt his hands clutched in a fist near his belt. The carving is very sculptural and is carved from pine. It retains its original surface. It does have some worm holes and has lost its shoes. This from years of sitting in a damp basement. The bugs are long gone. It sits on a wood base for display purposes. The carving measures 22 1/4\"h x w/stand. Figure alone measures 19 3/4\"h. It is in good as found condition with a few age cracks. If you should have any questions please feel free to email me.
