Up for sale is a very fine opera glass made by one of the premier makers of the period in my opinion, \"Flammarion\", so marked on the bottom bridge and by the knight logos pictured. The glass measures approximately 2.5\" retracted and 3.5\" extended. The barrels are covered with mother of pearl panels set off at either end (and this is quite unusual) by red enamel panels with gold crosses. Both the enamel and pearl appear to be in excellent shape. The lenses are clear and provide and excellent image. The gold washed brass components show typical wear. The glass is marked on the pearl inserts surrounding the ocular lenses \"Ituzaingo Esq. Rincon Montevideo Nasso Y Dulcino Opticas.\" I have never seen another glass like this in over 18 years of collecting.
