Up for sale is a large antique carved wood scenic sculpture done in deep relief. The piece measures 38\" X 9\" X 3\". It is carved entirely of one piece of wood. I\'m not sure what this scene depicts, it looks like a scene from Greek mythology. Poseidon is on the back of a Hippocampus carrying a trident and crossing a body of water. Much of the original paint remains, there are no broken or damaged/repaired areas. This came from an estate in Ohio, most of the contents were high end European and Asian pieces. This hung on the wall above the master fireplace. This is a large and heavy piece, shipping reflects this. Definitely a unique piece of antique folk art.
