This sale is for a scare late 19th century hand painted Heubach German bisque figural of a Woman steering a boat or ship\'s wheel. I am in the process of downsizing and will be parting ways with thousands of quality items. Heubach pieces are well known for their quality as well as their collectability. This piece is NO exception. This pre-1900 figure is unusual subject matter, as it was rare to see a Woman \"captaining\" a boat or ship from that period. She looks to be very determined, (see pics). By her outfit, she is dressed for colder weather. This is a nice \"large\" example, standing 13\" tall. It is in very good condition considering it\'s age. This piece was made in Germany and dates to the 1880-1890\'s. It carries the Heubach mark on the base as well as \"inked\" underneath, (see pics). *There is some minor chipping at the front of the base, (see pics). I have collected Heubach for years and have never seen this subject. I paid a lot for it back then with NO regrets. It displayed very well in my home for many years and will in yours as well! I will be listing many similar treasures in the next bunch of months. My descriptions will not be as in depth as they used to be, so do not be afraid to ask questions.
