Unusual Rare Antique German Snow Baby Santa in Airplane Pic 13.15:

This is the only example I have seen of this unusual snow baby Santa and the exact piece shown in my book. What makes it quite unusual is that the Santa was molded separately, then inserted into the cockpit. This must have required an extra firing. Perhaps it wasn\'t cost effective and fewer were made. Santa carries a pack over his back and waves.

It looks like this was handled many times. there are places where the paint is like new (the wheels and side details of the plane)But the paint on the upper wings and body is quite worn, as is the paint on Santa\'s face. I like to think it was a toy, beloved by some child. There is a very tiny chip on Santa\'s raised, gloved hand. 1.5\" tall
