Very good condition and guaranteed original US Model 1873Trapdoor Springfield socket bayonet that has a nice clear US marking on theblade flat. Bayonet has original blue metal finish showing some brown scale.Complete with working lock ring. Fitted in correct original steel scabbard thathas leather throat tab and brass belt hook/roundel. Scabbard body has originalblack paint showing a little wear, no dents. Leather is soft and supple withtight stitching and shows light wear. Brass has nice patina. A classic US Army TrapdoorSpringfield bayonet that will make a fine addition to your collection.
