Between the 1920s and 1950s egg cups, presumably, intended for the Easter confectionary market (chocolate eggs) were modelled with a figure supporting or pulling the cup. Many were marked \'Foreign\' and patterns include ocean liners, ducks, chickens, policemen, locomotives, elephants, dogs, bears and motor cars.Today I am offering this very rare piece depicting a black chef. The egg cup is offered in very good condition, the whistle works too, emitting a lovely high pitched whistle sound when blown, quite a few egg cup whistle characters appear from time to time but this is only the second black chef egg cup I have ever seen, a rare piece indeed.UK buyers, postage will depend on the final price therefore please bear this in mind should you wish to pay before an invoice is sent to you.
