Up for sale with is a very fine 1751 Georgian Period English Sterling Silver Trowel form Entree, Dessert or Cake Server. The Server is unlike any other example I have seen and I am sure is a Rare find indeed. The Server is top quality throughout with a great Trowel form and amazing pierced designs throughout. I also particularly like the Shell design where the handle attaches. The Handle is finely carved solid wood with a nice original surface and a great dark patina. The Serving portion is fully Hallmarked for the fine Period Silversmith Edward Aldridge I, London England, Sterling Silver and the Date Letter for 1751. The Server is in excellent condition with no damage, cracks, bends etc and the Handle is sturdy and secure, I am sure the new owner will be most impressed. The Server is a nice large size for display or modern use measuring 13\" long with the Blade measuring 6\" long by 4-1/4\" wide and the total weight is148 grams. I doubt you will find another like this up for sale any time soon, let alone selling with !
