i think that this could be a very rare and important vase, it has come from a good private collection which ive been selling over the last couple of years, some suggestion that this may have come from one of the big london sale houses in the 60s or 70s, possibly sothebys. viewing highly recommended as it was very difficult to photograph due to the reflections, it measures about 26cm high. probably one of the rarest vases ive had in a very long time, difficult piece to date as ive not seen one like it before, it has a very beautiful powder blue colour, the mask handles have fixed ring lugs as seen, please enlarge all 12 photos, surely an extremley rare piece worthy of further research. i had to end the original listing as i accidentally chipped the top rim, so now ive relisted with photos showing the chip in the last 2 photos, very simple repair.
