im selling some very interesting and unusual chinese and other asian pieces from a good private collection, viewing highly recommended as photos dont do them any justice as some were difficult to photograph due to reflections, some pieces are difficult to date, so please enlarge all photos, all pieces sold as seen in the photos. this is probably one of the largest and heaviest bronze buddhas ive seen, i was going to keep it, but i just dont have the room, the buddha measures about 110cm high not measuring the base, or 129cm high including the base, the top of the head comes off, so things can be placed inside a small opening that measures about 1.5cm deep. there are lots of tiny coloured gems fixed over the gold decoration, some of these may be replacements, damaged or missing, i cannot post this due to it being extremely heavy, but i can send by man in a van to most parts of the uk for around £60, some closer plaes could be much cheaper, or you can get free quotes from shiply and anyvan courier sites while the sale is ongoing. there is a small bolt sticking up from the base, but it doesnt secure the figure, it looks like it has been badly glued at some stage when the bolt broke, but it would be best getting it bolted back on to the stand to make it more secure.overall displays very well but it wont stand up by itself, ive had to prop it up for the photos, difficult piece to date as ive never seen anything like it before, photos dont do it any justice, viewing very highly recommended. i doubt you will find a better bronze buddha, great investment as pieces like this will continue to rise in value. could even be out of a temple. please enlarge all 12 photos. SORRY NO BUY IT NOW PRICE - IT WILL SELL TO THE HIGHEST buyer - ive had multiple emails, messages and even a couple of phone calls asking me to name a price, some buy now offers have also been rather high, but to be fair im leaving on and selling to the highest buyer, please offer early to make sure your offer is accepted as i do have some restrictions set for some buyers who have unpaid strikes etc, it has over a 100 watchers. good luck with the offers.
