VERY RARE1850s Sandwich Flint Glass “Fine Diamond Point” Covered Sweetmeat -- PRICE REDUCED

Crystalclear, measures aprox. 7 ¾” tall from the bottom to the top of the lid finial.A sweetmeat is like a footed covered butter. These were only made during theflint era. Overall great condition for its age and this type of item, with onlysome minor nicks here and there -- a hard to see flake on the underside of thefinial, which probably is how it was removed from the mold so more likely aslight manufacture flaw, does not show or detract; 5 nicks/flakes on the scallopedrim edge, hard to notice; 1 small flake on the base/foot edge; some moldoverfill slight roughness all around the foot edge, but this is not damage, justhow it was made, does not detract. See all close-ups. Other than that, perfectcondition, beautiful bell tone long drawn out loud ring when tapped. Flint glass sweetmeats are rare & this one is museum worthy!
