Wonderful lot of 18th century EARLY AMERICAN, colonial period, homespun sheets and pillowcases with Provenence!The lot includes the following:

1 Long body size homespun woven linen pillowcaseStains/discoloration present. Otherwise very good condition for the age - no rips, holes or tears. Rather sturdy.17 1/2\" x 65\"signed R Wdated 1757 (or 1758?)Hand written paper label sewn inside reads Rebekah Walker married to Moses Marsh 1758
1 light hand woven linen pillowcase17\" x 29 1/2\"one 3/4\" split/tear, numerous stains/spots. Otherwise intact and good.signed R Wdated 1758

A hand written note also found tucked inside these sheets reads:Moses Marsh & Rebekah Walker 1759David MarshNathaniel MarshElisa Marsh Nichols (?) (hard to read)Metrille Nichols(?) (just guessing)
After some research on the internet, I was able to find records that Moses Marsh and Rebekah Walker Marsh actually lived in Haverhill Massachusetts and were married in 1759 and had 8 children.
These authentic New England Colonial Period sheets came out of an old multi-generational Cape Cod estate.What a wonderful and historically significant find!
