For sale a very rare antique 17th / 18th century yellow gold wedding ring . This very rare gold cast ring was made by a goldsmith in the centuries old method of pouring the gold into a ready made one off cast . The ring was found metal detecting many years ago in St.Albans Hertfordshire . At some time in its long life it has been resized . The ring has been tested and is about 15ct gold , is a small size I and weighs close to 2 grams . It has signs of wear due to its very old age .This ring is similar in style to 17th and 18th century Posy rings but simply not inscribed . The ring was probably made by a provincial goldsmith as it has no makers marks. This ring will be posted signed for and insured , . PLEASE NOTE , this has been relisted due to a ring size error .
