As the photos show a \"TYPICAL\" blue crossed sword type mark. This mark is for Richard Eckert Volkstedt Rudolstadt Thuringia Germany founded in 1894 by Eckert producing\"LUXURY\" porcelain wares. This mark was registered andentered on to the RWZR ( Reich-waren-zeichen-register) on the 27/03/1894 (Furstliches Amtsgericht Rudolstadt No.11). The mark was withdrawn in 1896 when a certain company demanded the removal of the Blue Crossed Sword mark, so as you can imagine this particular back stamp is extremely rare, desirable and very collectable as it was only allowed to be used for twoyears. It israre to be able to acquire a perfect condition figurine pair of this age exquisite and expertly painted,very intricate and ornate detail, as one would expect from Eckert. They have a rather unusual finish which I would describe as silk or satin finish as it is not full gloss nor completely matt, so I hope I am accurate as they are in between the two extremes. I\'m \"guessing\" this pair have possibly belonged to only one family and judging by the perfect,pristine and immaculate condition they have remained in, must have been kept in a display cabinet. There are no chips, no cracks, nocrazing, no hair-lines and no other faults or flaws. 8 1/2\" tall spotlessly clean and ready for immediate display. The underside (base) of this pair are quite matt,but the Crossed Sword mark is \"under glaze\" correctly and appropriately.
