This HUGE Tridacnidae was collected from the Caroline Islands, North of New Guinea, in the 1940\'s. This old piece is a greatcuriosity for any collection!

Vernon Brock, the collector of this shell, is an Ichthyologist from Hawaii that is most well known for his book \"Handbook to Hawaiian Fishes\" published in 1965. A listing of his many published works and journals can be found here.
