This extremely rare vintage leather handbag was made by Olivier Gurtner in Geneva, Switzerland. It is 100% authentic tan and dark green GURTNER Leather. The quality workmanship demonstrated by Gurtner is unsurpassed. This bag is almost impossible to find. This particular Gurtner has an extremely rare color combination of dark green and tan. This authentic green Gurtner leather, very rare. The inside has the official \"GURTNER STAMP\", see interior pictures.This eye catching handbag was purchased in the 1990\'s at Lederers de Paris. It\'s price at that time was over $900.
Gurtner handbags were sold exclusively at Lederers de Paris. They had only three locations, Paris, London, and New York City.
Olivier Gurtner did not create an annual collection like many of the larger companies. Instead, he relied on his inspiration. Due to limited production and high quality craftsmanship, Olivier Gurtner handbags have become one of the most sought after items for collector\'s of high end vintage handbags.
We did a thorough online search and cannot find even one authentic Olivier Gurtner bag like this one available for sale anywhere. That should attest to this bags rareness and individual character.
The bag is in very good pre owned condition. Please look closely at the pictures. It has spent over 20 years on a shelf in our collector\'s closet with other rare vintage bags. We have not done any touch up work to the bag, it is original factory. It has been in a 100% non smoking home. It smells clean and has been maticulously maintained.
All parts work perfectly. The lock and keys have never been used. The bag has a small padlock attached with 2 small keys in the pouch hanging from the handle. The interior of the bag has two pockets (one zips, one snaps) lined with a silky material. The handbag latch is very unique and is in perfect working condition.
