VERY RARE Stevens & Williams SILVERIA 5\" Two Handled Vase C.1900 Art Nouveau:

PRICE REDUCED......Up for sale is a very rare Stevens & Williams of Stourbridge, England 2 handled glass vase. It is silver cased glass with pink and yellow accents and green case handles and rivulets.Named Silveria glass by the company, the process involved putting a piece of silver foil between two layers of glass, adding other colors and drizzling the whole thing with a green glass. Considered Art Nouveau in style, it has a real organic feel to it.Unfortunately, the process had problems, which is why it is rarely found without the black \"burn through\" marks.
Production started around 1900 but I don\'t think it was made for very long and it is rarely found outside of museums.This vase is 5\" or 13 cm high and about 4&1/2 or 10 cm wide at its widest point.The opening across the top is 1&1/2\" or 4cm across and the base is about 2\" or 4&1/2 cm across.MARKED: Etched S&W on base.CONDITION:As is common with this type of glass it has numerous condition issues.1) 6 burn marks where the silver foil was burnt in the process.2) a spot (see photos) near the widest part where the outer layer chipped off3) it does not have any damage to the loop handles the lines you see are in the photograph only....optical illusionNO cracks or repairs..Photos do not do it justice.
