VERY Rare and Unusual Antique Vanity Case by Vantine\'s of New YorkThis incredible piece was designed and executed by the famed company, Vantine\'s of New York, which specialized in all things \"Oriental\". It would benefit any prospective buyer to Google, \"Compacts by Vantine\'s\" to get a better understanding of this item, and the company which produced it.The vanity purse is constructed of cardboard, and covered in padded embroidered silk, with an Asian design of an animal of sorts.The handle is detailed with a pink bead and finger ring made of celluloid. The bottom of the bag is detailed with a pink bead from which hangs a tassel of gold bouillon.The interior of the case features a mirror set into the lid. Opposite, is the actual makeup case, with areas for lipstick, rouge, powder, and puff. Oddly enough, the powder is white, as Vantine\'s incorporated the \"Geisha\" theme in many of their cosmetics. The puff bears the \"Vantine\'s\" logo.The interior of the vanity case is constructed of cardboard as well, and trimmed in \"gold leaf\".The bottom of the case is covered in blue silk.The vanity bag measures: 4 1/2\" long, 2 1/2\" wide at the top and 3 1/4\" at the bottom, and 1\" deep.This piece is definitely a collectors item and will be a most coveted addition to your treasures.We attempt to describe our pieces as accurately and honestly as possible.
