Here\'s an unusual old telegraph key, and most of an old telegraph sounder all mounted on a board. The key is marked W.E., which I\'m guessing is for Western Electric, and it has a 1886 patent date. The knob or pad that you hit to make the key work is broken, however it looks like it was used this way (worn smooth). It\'s made of brass thats nickel plated. The sounder is not marked and is missing the bar that makes it sound off. The whole unit could use a good cleaning. Please enlarge the pictures below for the best description.
