Up for sale is this fine early Victorian gentleman\'s pewter flask. In good condition overall, the pewter metal has developed a deep aged patina. It has a rectangular shape with curved sides and is plain in design. It has been engraved in a Gothic lettering (font) with \"G Cullen, Whiteclosegate, Carlisle\" on the front side of the base. The cup section (top) pulls off and pushes on securely. The screw lid is original and is also secure. The base is stamped with the maker \"James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield,1384\" with the traditional hunting horn impression above the maker\'s mark.

Age: late 19th century
Size: 6 3/4\" x 3 1/2\"
Capacity: 8 ounces (approx.)
Condition: as found: worn spots, scuffs, scratches, and a few dents as shown. Please see photos for more details.
