This is an INCREDIBLE antique brooch--I am so impressed by the detail and hope you will be too. Please take a moment to view it closely and appreciate the colors and the elaboration around the chair itself, and on the furnishings of the carriers.

This brooch is circa 1930s and is made in Italy. It is heavy, solid 18k gold, hallmarked in a raised cartouche. I have seen only one like it, on Ruby Lane (for $1400), and not even as nice as this one! This could be converted to a really cool charm for you heavy charm bracelet wearers, or even a pendant. You could wear it as a pendant by merely stringing a chain through the pin stem, as the pin stem doesn\'t show from the front.

Two Chinese men, with Fu Manchu moustaches and wide-brimmed hats, carry a beautifully enameled \"sedan chair\"--the passenger could be a bride, or a dignitary, or even an Emporor! The curtains are \"blowing\" at the top of the cart, in light blue enamel, and the bottom is decorated with royal blue and tiny crystals. It is hand-etched and milgrained and constructed in a sort of 3d style so as to create the image of a four-sided carriage--one of the other windows is visible behind the front man.

The men wear red coats, with a gold flower, fleur de lis and leaf embellished upon each coat. It\'s a very realistic scene if you view it up close, in such a small area!

This collectible brooch pin measures 1 3/8\" side to side by 1\" top to bottom. It is hallmarked K18 Italy in a raised cartouche on the back. It weighs a hefty 8 grams. It has a C-clasp closure, that looks like it may have once had a lock that is now missing (or maybe not--I\'m not sure) but it does stay closed the way it is. This brooch is in very good vintage condition!
