VINTAGE 1920s FIRESTONE CORD TIRES YELLOW CAB TAXI ADVERTISING INK BLOTTER CARD:

DESCRIPTION: This is an old ink blotter advertising card for Firestone tires. Back in the 1920s people wrote with ink pens that left too much ink on the paper, so you had to blot it up before it smeared. This was probably given away from a Firestone dealer as a premium in the 1920s. It talks about a Firestone tire missing only 1/3 of its tread while running over 20,000 miles on a Yellow Cab taxi in Chicago.

MATERIALS: Heavy paper similar to a postcard

DIMENSIONS: Measures about 5-7/8 x 3-1/8 inches.

CONDITION: Overall in GOOD CONDITION, was never used as a blotter, but it has some slight corner and edge wear, and a very light impression of a rubber red ink stamp that was most likely from the Firestone dealer on the face that is very hard to see.

If you collect taxi or Firestone memorabilia, this will be a nice piece to add to your collection! It would look good displayed with antique toy taxi cabs in your collection.
