Offering a vintage era 1930\'s ring/spring microphone, also know as a double button carbon microphone. The original microphone element is a Western Electric 600A, mounted to a vintage Shure Brothers chrome over steel ring with original suspension springs. I have mounted it on a heavy iron base stand with adjustable riser. The large ring is heavy gauge 1/4\" thickness, 6.5\" diameter. The chrome ring is in nice condition, some very minor surface pitting, but hard to see unless you get up close. This mic element and ring is one of the heaviest I have ever some across, All totaled, this mic weighs in just under 6 pounds. The height as you see it is a bit over 15\", but can be extended to about 20\".The mic element is not wired, nor tested. These carbon elements required a special power supply to function, and at best performed at telephone quality, so these are typically collected for display. (I have several in my collection!)This would make a fabulous addition to your vintage mic collection. Give it a special spot.
