VINTAGE 1940\'s BORDEN\'S MILK 3 COLOR NEON SIGNORIGINAL, AUTHENTIC & WORKS!
Description
This is an original 3 color neon sign WITH THE ORIGINAL NEON. I mention this as the old neon gas gives it a very different look when compared to the newer gas.
COLORS:
Borden\'s is in \'red\', MILKis \'white\' and the \'looped bars\' on either sign of milk are \'blue\'.This sign has never been broken or repaired where it needed the gas replaced.
It reads: BORDEN\'S (in script) with MILK below in block letters. It has only been plugged in on rare occasions so the transformer is probably in very good condition. This has been on a shelf on display for about 14 yrs, in our home (former brick and mortar shop) here in PA, that is non-smoking.
The frame that holds the tubes in place is coated steel unlike some that had Plexiglas frames. The plex can cause neon signs, such as this one, to flex - that gives it more chance of breakage. The bottom part of the sign has rubber feet for stability.
The transformer equipment tag reads: FRANCEFORMER GASEOUS TUBE TRANSFORMER The France Manufacturing Co., Cleveland. Ohio Made in USA. voltage, cycles, and other electrical information is also there. It has an extra long cord, about 10 to 12 feet.
The dimensions are about 30\" x 5\" deep x 16\" high and in very good condition.
It weighs under 25 lb.
