Here is a terrific vintage STERLING SILVER baby dining set - a fork and spoon by PLUMMER FIFTH AVENUE ... still in their original blue felt case and PLUMMER box. I believe they date to the 1950s.
The fork and spoon are in the ROYAL DANISH pattern - this can be seen on the sterling hallmark stamp on the back of the utensils. Both pieces are 4 1/4\" long, distance across fork tines is 3/4\", across widest part of spoon is 1 1/4\". The silver is tarnished (I didn\'t try to clean the fork and spoon because I know some people are very sensitive about chemicals) but otherwise appears unmarked and unused ... but I am not the original owner and cannot say this for sure. COMBINED WEIGHT of the fork and spoon is 46 grams/1.6 ounces.The sterling pieces come in their original blue felt wraparound case / bag, which says BABY SET on the front and has the PLUMMER, LTD. label sewn on the inside which also has two pockets for the fork and spoon. The stitching around the edges is all intact in excellent condition; the tie-around ribbon is in great condition but is a bit curled from age and frayed at the edges. The cardboard PLUMMER box has some wear (especially at the corners) on the top piece; the bottom piece is in terrific condition. There are no tears to the edges of the box.
