This is a Vintage 1960 Royal Copenhagen Hans H. Hansen Hjorten The Stag Christmas Plate. The plate is marked on the back \'Royal Copenhagen Denmark Hans H. Hansen Hjorten The Stag\', has the hand painted initials \'RM\' and the three hand painted blue wavy lines.There isnoslash mark through the stamp, so this plate is first edition.The plate has a nice hues of blue that Royal Copenhagen is known for and shows an elegant reindeerstagstanding in a wooded forest. There is a wire hang loop on the backside of the plate for easy placement onto walls.The colors may look off, purpleish or faded in the photos, but that is just the lighting - looks really nice in person. Please see all three photos for details. The plate is in very good vintage condition. It has some dirt,and film from being handled, could use cleaning beforedisplaying. I inspected the plate with a magnifying glass. It looks like it just was hung nicely protected on a wall. I see minor tiny surface nicks and minor surface thin line scratches, but they are not noticeable unless you look with a magnifying glass. On the backside of the plate there are some minor typical surface scuffs and some minor surface scrapes on the plate rim from being placed onto the wall. Overall it\'s a really nice plate! (if you are not too picky about the flaws mentioned above). The plate measures about 7 1/4\" in diameter. Some of the lights, reflections and shadows that you see on the plate are just in the photo. Photos may not show all flaws mentioned in description.
