Will not guarantee on how accurate this willbe. I know that this will not work afterdark. I do know we have come a long wayin measuring time. From what I havefound an obelisk was used as far back as 3500 BC. They have dated shadow clocks back around1500 B C. It also has been mention inthe Bible. To have somewhat a functionalsundial it needs to be set a certain way which also includes knowing thelongitude. That is all well until youput Day light savings time in the mix. For those people who just want to have a decorative piece in theirgarden this will work as well. This isjust about 6 ¼” diameter and 3” tall at the beak of the hummingbird. I believe that this is cast aluminum. On the face going clockwise are Roman numerals1-6 on the right side and starting on the bottom left Roman numerals 6-11. There are floral designs around the outsideedge. Of course the focal point is thehummingbird in the middle with its beak pointing up to cast the shadow.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">  </span>Stamped on the back is “Carson StatesmetalUSA Freeport PA”.
