VINTAGE 2x MAI-KAI Shrunken Head MUG ORIGINAL RARE MINT OMC MUGSBeautiful shrunken head mugs in mint shape. From Mai Kai, Ft. Lauderdale, a Tiki Location. Manufactured by Otagiri Mercantile Company ( OMC ).
This is the vintage version of the Mai Kai shrunken head mug, and has the details cold painted over the glaze, while the more modern version has the details painted under the glaze. Hair of head is pulled back into a ponytail handle, blue decorative facepaint, yellow spears through ears, and stitches over lips. Due to the paint being on top of the glaze these are very difficult to find with all their original paint. If you scratch hard enough with your nail the paint can come off. These have been on display for many years. Both mugs have their original OMC stickers on them and pieces/residue from their original price tags. One has a darker blue than other. Very tough to find in this condition, great addition to any collection!
