For your consideration we are presenting for sale an ultra rare HEDI SCHOOP table lamp that dates back to the 1950s. The male and female harlequinfigurines are ceramic, and they are attached to an arrow-shaped wooden base. The triple-tiered fiberglass shade is absolutely BONKERS! Not only is it in great shape, it too has an arrow-like appearance that mimics the shape of the base. The front of the shade projects forward at the center and graduallyrecedes back as you approach the sides of the lamp (see overhead photo of the shade to get a better idea of the shape). We\'ve come across many shades in our years of collecting, but this is the first time we\'ve ever encountered this shape of a shade - it\'s really INCREDIBLE! The upper and lower tiers of the shade are beige, while the center tier of the shade is black with gold fibers and gold stars scattered throughout. Measurements: With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 20\" tall. Each of the ceramicfigurines is approx. 8\" tall. The double-tiered fiberglass shade measuresapprox. 9.25\" tall x 18\" wide x 10\" deep. The wood base on the bottom measures approx. 12\" wide x 6\" deep (at the center). Condition: Excellent! The ceramic figurines are in great shape - no nicks, chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. There is only a tiny amount of gold finish on the tip of the male and female\'s upper hands that has worn. It is barely noticeable, nor does it detract. We are solely mentioning this for accuracy. The wood base that thefigurines are attached to is free from any problems. The fiberglass shade is in great shape - no rips, holes, tears, stains, burns, etc. All of the lacing appears to be original, and it in in good condition. The electrical wiring to the lamp also looks to be original, and it is in good shape - no frays, splits, exposed /frail wire, etc. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition.
