Superb French wicker bread basket #1
All natural wicker straw basket, traditionally used for proving the bread dough of a \'couronne\' - a crown shaped loaf.
It has been on service for many a decade, and it does show some damage to the wicker - please see photos for more details. In general it is in good condition for its age and a great display piece to accessorise your French-style country kitchen.The basket has been cleaned but traces remain of its constant use through the years. It would, in its real life have been covered with a coarse cotton or linen cloth.
