This is by far the most amazing leather bag I have ever seen in my life.

It is enormous in size, and the quality of the materials and craftsmanship areremarkable. It is made of beautiful thick natural grain leather. The color of the exterior leather has been altered by decades of exposure to light, but the interior remains in its original condition. The bag has a top flap closure secured by a pair of thick and wide leather straps which pass under brass brackets and meet at a center turn lock. The turn lock tab has a hole for securing the bag closed with a padlock. A pair of sturdy leather handles rise 11\" from the the point where they connect to the bag near its vertical center. The off-white linnen lined and leather trimmed interior has a large zippered pocket as well as an eleastic slip pocket on the rear wall. There are four brass feet on the bottom of the bag.

Under the top flap and inside the bag you can see the the original dark burgundy color of the leather. All of the exposed exterior leather has been faded by decades of light to a gorgeous patina with colors ranging from cognac to burgundy to brown. There are no markings on the bag other than a single letter \"G\" in gold on the front flap.

After hours and hours of searching the net we have yet to see another bag like it. My cobbler wasin awe when i showed him this bag, and he appraised it at $2000.

Condition:

Excellent vintage condition overall. The seam along one edge of the bottom of the bag is cracked, but the seam has been professionally reinforced from the inside by my cobbler.

Still, you probably should not carry extremely heavy items in this bag, nor should you expect to carry it around all day as a handbag, due to its weight.

It really belongs behind glass in a will package the item for shipping with great care to make sure it is not damaged in transit, and item will be shipped with insurance.
