This bell was just purchased directly from a local estate, where it has been for many years. Ithad beenmounted on a 4 by 4 post at a rural local farmhouse. Itfeatures the raised image ofan antique tractor along with the words \"John Deere\" on two sides (see photos). One of the images still retains the original green paint color on the tractor, while the other one only retains some of the yellow. Itwas obviouslymounted in a position so that one side of the bell was more exposed to the weather than the other. The mount is marked \"John Deere\" in raised yellow lettering as well. I don\'t see any other letters or numbers, so I don\'t really know what numerical size this bell is, but I will give the dimensions:The bell portion measures 13 3/4\" wide at the mouthby about 9\" tall (this measurement does NOT include the yoke it is attached to). The mount measures 19 1/4\" wide. Theringer measures 9 1/2\" long.The bell with the yoke and chain attached weighs about 27 lbs., whileeverything weighed together weighs about 37 lbs.

I believe this bell dates to around 1910 - 1935 or so, but I couldn\'t find any way to date it precisely. In searching the general internet, I only foundone other John Deere bell with the antique tractor images that this one has, and that one was not complete, or in as good of condition asthis one is. I don\'t see any cracks or any other significant damage, just expected exterior wear from being outdoors for so long. Even then, I think the overall condition is remarkably goodconsidering those circumstances. It rings quite loudly and nicely.
