VINTAGE BLOW MOLD LAMP POST PAIR OF HALLOWEEN LIGHTS METAL MOUNTS HUGE 56\" TALL:
$449.99

This sale isfora set of 2 vintage Holiday lamp post lights. These are very tall-the are 56\" from top of metal rings to bottom-that is over 4 1/2\' tall!!They stick out 2 feet from the wall when mounted. I do not know the age of these-I am sure they are from no later than the 50\'s or 60\'s and I have not been able to find any others on or the internet. The plastic pieces allattach tothe metal framework. It haspart where they attach to a post -this bracketarea measures 2 feetlong. These metal frameworks have a lot of surface rust and flaking, but is structurally sound and could be sanded and re-painted.The wood knobs on either sides have some dings and cracking. The lights eachhave 3 different plastic pieces-the top pieces are heavy plastic and the bottom pieces are blow mold type plastic. Both lantern\'s tops and bottoms are in great condition with some fading, scratches andlightdiscoloration here and there-no cracks or breaks, although there are a few extra screwholes someone made in the areas where thebottom pieces are attached to the metal framework. Each lighthas a large frostedeffect plastic insert, andsadly, one of them has a cracking onone panel. I have tried to show itin my pictures-lit and unlit-andit does not really show up well either way. I am thinking that when these are displayedit would be hard to even know it was there. You could make it less noticeable if you turned the cracked panel of the insert to face inward toward the mounting bracket-I did not do this because you would have to make new screw points in the insertfor the light fixture to attach to the metal frame-I will leave that up to you to do if you decide. There are some light discoloration spots or faint scratches on the surface here and there. There is alsosome stress cracks where these inserts areattached to the frame where thelight fixtures are screwedon top of it, of course, these are not seen with topparts on. Theyhave the original electric fixtures andthe bulbs lookvery old as well-I am not going to guarantee that the bulbs willmake it to you in working order since they are so delicate, but I didtry standard bulbs and they worked fine. The lights both light up, but one cord hasblack tape at the plug. It would not be hard to replace the electric cords with newer and safer ones. Both sockets read 660W and 250 V. I have replaces all the hardware that attaches the plastic pieces to the frames as they were rusty. These will be taken apart and shippedin three different boxes and UPSGround will be the only method available. I have set the shipping charge for $120.00 Continental U.S.A onlybecause that is the very least it will cost to ship these. The further away you are from me in Pennsylvania the more it will cost ME to get them to you, as I am willing to pay the difference. I thought this would be the best way for the shipping charge to be clear before offerding. I am also willing to do local pick-up for anyone interested. Please remember UPS Ground does not ship to P.O. Boxes, and I will not ship these to Alaska, Hawaii or Peurto Rico. These have been quite the undertaking, taking apart, cleaning, listing, and figuring out how to ship these. But, I have been selling holiday blow molds for several years on and I realize these may be a once in alifetime find for the holiday decorator. I really want to find a home for these where they could be appreciated for their awesomeness! I am an artist and have gone over in my head what I would do with these tomake them even more cool-if you really felt like you wanted to replace the cracked panel, I think new inserts could be made with plastic sheeting cut to size and bonded with clear caulking. They do make spray paint for plastic now, if you would want to change the tops and bottoms to a different color. I also was thinking you could make silhouettes in different holiday designs to place on the inserts for the lights to shine around. Please feel free to ask any questions or request additional photos and I will be happy to help. Thanks for looking!
