DESCRIPTION:Here I present for sale an extremely rare and uniqueChineseexport solid silver filigree miniature dish.This is a flower shaped miniature dish made in solid silver and hallmarked with theEnglishletters \'MK\'.Believedto be a Chinese make, it is beautifully crafted with some fantastic filigree work. There are six petals in this flower designed dish and each petal has a frill coming out of it and ending at the center of the dish. The center, again is having superb filigree work. All the petals are having frilled border. Some part of the dish has been gold gilt like near the frills of the petal.
Yes, this dish has been slightly damaged due to some intense testing done by some unknown person who may not be so familiar with and want to check that it is silver or not. That unknown person has tested it so badly that now there are holes on side wall of the base of the dish. He had scratched it very deeply unknowingly that he is damaging this beautiful item. Also, there are testing scratch marks on the bottom of the base and on the backside of one of the petal.But, not to worry, I can fix this damage very nicely without disturbing the original finishing of the dish and I can also remove the scratch marks with the help of buffing paper or polish paper. But I will do this only upon a buyer request before I pack this item of shipment.
