green, lavender, red, yellow, white and black.
Green is the most traditional and expensivecolor for jade.
The green color varies from pale or yellowishgreen to Granny Smith apple green, its best color.
Lavender jade can be quite dark - almost deepplum-purple, or be quite light and pale. Often, lavender jade exhibits a sugarytexture.
Red jade color range is from a lemon-yellowthrough beige to orange-brown to the best color: a pure red-brown.
Yellow jade is the most affordable jade. Andmost of the yellow jade in the market today is real.
White jade, or \"pure\" jade, can befound in a chalky, opaque white to a translucent gray-white. A good polish isessential.
Black jade is usually nephrite and, in its finerqualities, is glassy black. Surface flecks are common and usually acceptable.
The hierarchy of color value of jade would begreen, lavender, red, yellow, white and black.

Refer to jadeite jade which is chemicallytreated and resin impregnated to enhance its translucency. The structure ofjadeite is damaged through this treatment and it will lose its lustre once thepolymer deteriorates with the lapse of time. In addition, \"B\" jadecannot withstand heat and pressure.
C Jade (Jadeite jade has been artificiallydyed)
Jadeite of this kind is usually colorless or ofvery faint tone, and is therefore dyed to enhance its brightness. However, suchartificial hue will fade in time.
B + C Jade (Jadeite jade has beenartificially treated and dyed)
Refer to Jadeite jade has been dyed to enhanceits translucency and brightness during the chemically treated, resinimpregnated process.
