This beautiful older fine bone china TEA CUP and SAUCER set is made by Royal Sealy, Japan. Fully marked on the back of the saucer (please see pic. 9). Cup is footed, the foot is painted yellow with gold trim; cup has very interesting unusual geometrically ribbed outer surface while the inside of the cup has smooth luster (iridescent, pearl-like) surface, very shiny and beautiful. Both cup and saucer are decorated with mauve rose buds and gold floral design on white background. Cup has unusual \"Art Deco\" style handle completely covered with gold. Lots of gold on the base of the cup as well. Sponged gold trim on the rims. The saucer is reticulated with wide luster border. Please review the pictures. Very beautiful set!
The cup is 3\" tall and 3-1/2\" across. The saucer is 5-3/4\" in diameter. Please excuse any white camera flash spots in the pictures.
Very good vintage condition, no chips, cracks, crazing or wear.
