STUNNING Mid-Century Modern DeSimone Picasso Style Italian Pottery Plate/Charger, Handmade & Hand-painted Roman Solider/General Portrait, Signed, 20th C, for age! Some typical vintage wear with age. 1 small surface glaze miss or fleabite/chip at top of rim (see pics), no crack or repair here. 1 ceramic imperfection by artist in hat under glaze. This is NOT a chip and does not devalue the piece. It is a typical imperfection and characteristic of authentic DeSiomone works. Roughness to glaze at rim by design, as typical by artist. Artist imperfections as a handmade, hand-painted work of art. Imperfections characteristic with this pottery include glaze misses, varied texture, ceramic lines, freeform-shaped rim. I have sold several high-end pieces of DeSimone pottery, and these artist imperfections add to the beautiful quality and characteristic of this pottery. Colors vibrant, clean. No cracks, other chips/fleabites, or repairs observed. White spots/glare flash from camera. Coloring may appear lighter or darker depending on your computer screen.
