VINTAGE...MID CENTURYMODERN SILVER PLATINUM RIMMED\"DOROTHY THORPE STYLE\" DOF LOWBALL GLASSES/BARWARE...SET OF8

One of my manysets of glassware that I will be selling.I\'m clearing out my accumulation of\"stuff\" over the years and hope someone else can enjoy theseas much as I have.

DESCRIPTION... Eachclear DOF lowball flat bottomed tumblerhas a single 3/4\" band of silver/platinumencircling the bowl. The band appears on inside & outside of glass. I have polished all pieces before I photographed...the silver finish is matte. Sides are perfectly straight. Simple & elegant in design and free of any other decoration. I always hand washed.This glassware was not used often...only very special cocktail/dinner parties..PLEASE check out all photos. FABULOUS set!

SIZE...3 3/8\" tall x3 1/8\"diameter opening & base.6-8oz. liquid capacity.Silver platinum band is 3/4\".

MAKERS MARK...no makers mark. In researching these glasses I find them to be a close match to the Dorothy Thorpedesign glasses but after reading more informationI find she sold her \"company\" in 1953 & I believe these glasses were manufactured after that. (The information I found is slightly confusing) They are fabulous though

CONDITION... EXCELLENT but showing normal to almost ZERO. I\'ve shown a close up of the one glass with minor interior wear on silver band. If you need more pics will be glad to accommodate. Great addition to anyone\'s bar or dinner party. Would also make a wonderful gift.
