This was the final version of the model #1956 helmet. Updated in 1970, it featured a redesigned liner system with no external rivets. The predecessor to this model was the #1956. It was designed during WWII but did not see service until after the war. The first model featured three external rivets and the pre-war M31 style liner system.CONDITION: The helmet is in very good condition. There are some signs of age and use.
