VINTAGE ENGLISH SILVER PLATE DECO TEA SET HINGED LID HOTEL WARE FIVE PIECE:
$125.00

This 1920\'s Hotel Ware teaset was made in Coventry and Sheffield England. The gauge of the metal is thick and heavy to be used for commercial use and to last. The patina is in good vintage wear. You may wish to polish. The hinges on the pots and sugar bowl work well. The patina and gauge and design of the handles and shapes of pots match on all pieces, but the markings on the bottoms are different. The LARGE pot measures 5\" tall, 7 1/2\" from spout to end of handle, 5\" across bottom. The markings are T.T. & Co., Sheffield EPNS 2. There is a small dent under the spout at the very bottom of the pot. I\'ve also showed another bit of pitting right under the I.P.C. also at the bottom of the pot. Both blemishes are along the bottom of the pot and the result of plunking it down over decades. Nothing leaks. There is also a small dent on the spout. It has the initials I.P.C. on front. TheCREAMERmeasures 4 1/2\" tall, 5 1/4\" from spout to end of handle, 3\" across bottom. Also has initials I.P.C. on front. I\'m guessing I.P.C. may be initials of a cruse ship since Manchester was the center of ship building at that period in time. The markings on the bottom are T.T. & CO., SHEFFIELD. The SUGAR BOWL is 3 1/4\" tall, 6\" from handle to handle, 3 1/4\" across bottom. The markings are Coventry Silvercraft EPNSAL I.P.C. Made in England. Hinged sugar bowls are rare. The FINGER BOWL, commonly used as a lemon bowl, is 2 1/2\" tall, 4\" wide and opening at top 3 1/2\". Marking on bottom is 3818, a flower stamp and the number 4. There are a few hair line cracks at the rim of the bowl. The TRAY measures 13\" across and 1 1/4\" deep. It has scratches and some wear to the silver. The markings at the bottom of the tray are EPNS and Sheffield hallmark. I\'m guessing these pieces were made by the same company at different locations. Please understand these pictures were taken in bright light. I don\'t think they are noticeable, but I want you to be aware they exist. This set is almost 100 years old and not perfect. Also, the true color is the slver of the serving tray picture, not the brass color in the other pictures.Examine my pictures carefully as they are important part of my description.
