DESCRIPTION: Up for sale is a vintage, gently used, East German (DDR/GDR) smoker/incense burner, featuring a magician in a top hat, wearing a scarf and smoking a cigar. He is holding three white rabbits. When the incense is lit, it appears as if he is puffing smoke from the cigar.

It bears a label reading, \"Erzgebigische Volkskunst\" with the logo \"expertic\" in the center. On the reverse, it reads \"handwork GDR, Handarbeit\" with \"made in GDR\" in the center. \"The Expertic Trade Association was formed in 1968 to sell the Erzgebirge Christmas items for hard currency in the west. That means items with the Expertic sticker were made between 1968 and when the wall came down in 1989.\"

The piece measures about 7-1/2 inches in height (about 19 cm) and about 3-1/4 inches (8.5 cm) at its widest point. The base is about 2-1/4 inches (5.5 cm) in diameter.

CONDITION: The brass holder for the incense shows signs of limited use. It appears as if only one piece of incense was burned on the brass plate. Overall, the item is in excellent condition with few signs of wear. The original tag is in very good condition.Please see the photos before offerding.
